Summary: We had a great time. It's a solid location with lots to do within walking distance. The view just can't be beat. It's like the water comes right up to the balcony. If you want to get out of the neighborhood, it's a little tricky because you have to take a one-way road out of the Gap to get anywhere. The apartment is big, the kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms are nice (though one toilet was a problem to flush), and the rooms have glorious air conditioning, which was quite welcome. However, there is no AC in the main living area, which was rough a couple of nights. This was April, too. I can't imagine how hot it gets in July or August. There were fans, but fans aren't AC, of course. In fairness, there was no AC advertised, so I am sharing in the spirit of full disclosure. The pool is fantastic. We used it almost every day. The beach? Not so much. It's pretty rocky, and on most days the water was covered in a layer of seaweed and there was ankle-deep seaweed covering most of the beach. But it's a short walk to Dover Beach, and there are other beaches a short drive away. Had to go to the bar to watch sports as most of the channels on the TV seemed scrambled or nonfunctioning, but that was OK. We didn't go to the beach to watch TV. It would've just been nice to watch my NBA and Premier League at the house when we were there. The staff is great! Very friendly. Communication is truly top notch. I would stay here again, but I might seek out a place with AC in the living room.
